ATEYDA was born from the encounter between Seville, in southern Spain—where my roots lie—and Qatar, my home for the past few years. Living between these two places has taught me that tradition and modernity can not only coexist but also enrich one another. From this dialogue, a unique identity is born.
At Seville’s April Fair, the fan became the inspiration for the first handbag. Its silhouette, the geometry of its folds, and its movement are translated into the design through a contemporary lens, giving shape to a distinctive and recognizable aesthetic.
Each creation is crafted in Ubrique, Spain, an international hub for leather goods. There, leatherwork is carried out with precision and dedication, through a craft passed down and perfected from generation to generation.
The name ATEYDA combines the names of my twins, Atenea and Daniel, and embodies the most intimate aspect of this project.
Travel continues to leave its mark on each collection, subtly inspiring new details and shapes. This is how creations are born—conceived beyond trends, designed to accompany you throughout your life.
Every piece begins with a story.
Ours gives it its origin; yours gives it meaning.
The Ateyda monogram stems from the story behind the brand and combines the initials of Atenea and Daniel, my twins, into a single symbol.
The A and the D are united by the Y, which acts as the axis of the composition. At its base, the line subtly splits into two, a detail that represents Atenea and Daniel: two lives united from the very first moment.
Each line serves a specific purpose. More than just an element of identity, the monogram is a symbol of unity, balance, and permanence, and accompanies every Ateyda creation as a signature of its origin.
Every ATEYDA bag is handcrafted in Ubrique, Spain, where leatherwork is part of a tradition passed down through generations.
The process begins with the selection of the leather. From there, every cut, every stitch, and every finish is executed with precision, respecting the rhythm demanded by the craft.
There are ways of doing things that only time can teach.
I am Raquel Moreno, founder and creative director of ATEYDA. I was born in Seville and have been living in Qatar since 2023.
I grew up in a family deeply connected to the world of craftsmanship. My mother is a dressmaker and flamenco fashion designer, and my grandfather was a shoemaker. From them, I learned the value of craftsmanship, dedication, and attention to every detail.
As the founder and creative director of ATEYDA, I define the brand’s identity and aesthetic vision. Each collection is created under my direction, from the initial concept and selection of materials to the balance of forms and the precision of every finish.
In 2025, the birth of my twins gave new meaning to my understanding of legacy. ATEYDA was born from the desire to create pieces with character and a sense of permanence: designs capable of accompanying stories and being passed down from one generation to the next.
